New technologies may seem green at first, but upon further inspection we may find that they are not. Corn ethanol has been considered a clean source of energy, but some research on its production reveals a different perspective. "Production of corn ethanol requires two million gallons of water a day. Roughly 1,700 gallons of water are required to produce one gallon of ethanol."
